BAXI Manresa wants to maintain Congost's defense against Andorra
The Bages team aims to remain in good positions in the Endesa League by hosting the Pyrenees, who have 4 wins and want to get closer to the Copa del Rey positions.
BAXI Manresa faces matchday 11 of the Endesa League with a rival that wants to win at Nou Congost: MoraBanc Andorra. The Manresa team will still be without Guillem Jou but they are reinstating Santiago Vescovi to defend Nou Congost's unbeaten record for another match.
Diego Ocampo and his team returned this week with a victory under their belt after their visit to Benfica in the BCL, in a match that was difficult to get going. Now, a change of pace to prepare for a match in the Endesa League, where the red team wants to maintain a good fifth position. Guillem Jou has not yet trained with the team, although his coach indicated that he will do so next week. Santiago Vescovi is already available.
For his part, Andorra, led by Natxo Lezkano, has as its main threat the former Manresa player Jerrick Harding and Shannon Evans, two compulsive scorers. In recent weeks, they have also incorporated the pivot Babatunde Olumuyiwa, who joins other references such as Ben Lammers, the Greek Nikos Chougkaz, who together with good connoisseurs of the league (Bassas, Kuric, Luz, dos Anjos...) form a dangerous team.
Ocampo said in the preview this Friday that "we play against a team with very good players and scorers in any position, from 1 to 5; it is a very big challenge to be able to defend this team and it will be a very demanding match; the people of Manresa know the level that Andorra has and they know that they have had injuries and that has conditioned them; the fans and the team understand it and are aware of the difficulty".
