BAXI Manresa beats Breogán in extra time and adds the first victory

BAXI Manresa achieved its first victory in the Endesa League after winning on the complicated Río Breogán court (85-89), in a match that had to be decided after an extension, in which Dani Pérez was determining with five consecutive points.
After a start with some exchanges of baskets, the players led by Pedro Martínez took control of the scoreboard and, thanks to their success in the outside shot (they scored six three-pointers from eight attempts in the first quarter), they managed to open a hole in the electronic (18-28).
In the second the Galicians started strong and were only three points behind (27-30), but then some reds led by Dani Pérez reacted and achieved a maximum difference of twelve points (34-46), which the locals cut to six at halftime (43-49).
In the second half, the visitors were very uncertain (they scored only 3 of the 22 field goals they attempted) and Breogán, despite being unable to control the defensive rebound, took advantage of it to turn the score around and close the third fourth with a margin of five points (64-59).
In the fourth period, the Manresans were back in front and entered a close final with five points (70-75). The hosts came within a point, but Badio was fouled and converted both free throws. It looked like the Bages team had the win in the bag, but Taylor missed two free throws and Badio fouled Sergi Quintela's three-pointer, sending the game into overtime as neither team converted on their last attempt .
In a very even extra time, neither team could take significant differences. Then appeared the figure of Dani Pérez, who was decisive with a three-pointer and two free throws scored to add the first victory of the season.
