BAXI Manresa achieved its second victory in the second phase of the Basketball Champions League after clearly defeating the Turkish Bahcesehir College in Nou Congost (90-72). The Bages team played a very choral match and broke the game at the beginning of the third quarter.
After an initial exchange of baskets, the visitors took control of the game and nailed a partial 0-10 that forced Pedro Martínez to stop the match (6-15). Subsequently, the Reds responded and were within three points at the end of the first quarter (18-21).
In the second, the locals, with a Dani Pérez who showed his best passer version, came out better and immediately turned the score upside down (22-21). The players led by Pedro Martínez dominated the match, and obtained a maximum difference of eight points at half-time (43-35).
Returning from the locker room, the Manresa team came out ready to open an important hole, and they achieved it thanks to a strong partial run of 14-0. This fact allowed them to control comfortably and reach the end of the third quarter with the match very well on track (74-50).
The last ten minutes didn’t have too much story, and the Bages team were able to make the fans present at the Nou Congost enjoy a clear victory, without suffering in the final moments. In addition, they achieved a good average heading into the return leg in Turkey.
