The BAXI Manresa 2023-2024 continued its tune-up in Sant Julià de Vilatorta, where it achieved the second victory of the preseason after defeating MoraBanc Andorra in a match that was decided in the last quarter thanks to the success of the three-pointer by the Bages team (93-77). Nearly 300 fans were in the pavilion and enjoyed the team's game live.
The team led by Pedro Martínez began the duel more tonally, with an initial partial of 6-0, but those from the Pyrenees did not take long to react and immediately tied the score again. Immediately afterwards, neither team was able to escape and the Andorrans closed the first quarter ahead (14-15).
In the second, MoraBanc Andorra quickly gained seven points (18-25) and controlled the scoreboard for much of the period. However, the reds, led by Dani Pérez who scored seven consecutive points, went on an 11-0 run to reach halftime with an advantage (34-31).
Returning from the locker room, the Manresa team maintained their good momentum and increased the difference to ten points (42-32). However, those from the Pyrenees did not allow them to open more of the gap and they cut back until they turned the score around again. In a third quarter with a locked game and a lot of contact under the two baskets, the Bages' team ended up ahead thanks to a triple in the last second by Badio (63-61).
The last ten minutes began with an exchange of three-pointers between Taylor and Okoye. Subsequently, the Reds continued their success from long distance (they scored seven three-pointers in the last period) and this allowed them to definitively break the game and take their second victory of the preseason.
