A BAXI Manresa chorus also defeats Barça at the Nou Congost fort

BAXI Manresa remains unbeaten at the Nou Congost. The last to fall was the powerful Barça, who were behind on the scoreboard for much of the match and could not overcome the Bages team (85-72).
The men led by Diego Ocampo made a great start and quickly took an eight-point lead (10-2). Immediately after, the blue and red team reacted with nine consecutive points from the three-point line (12-16). Afterwards, the home team went 7-0 and tied it at 22 at the end of the first quarter.
In the second quarter, the reds dominated for most of the time against their powerful rival thanks to their success from long distance (scoring six three-pointers out of nine attempts). The last two, from Reyes and Obasohan, allowed them to take a thirteen-point lead at half-time (51-38).
Coming back from the changing rooms, the Bages team managed to maintain a significant lead against Joan Peñarroya's team, who also lost Punter due to unsportsmanlike and technical fouls. At the end of the third quarter, the Manresans team won by seventeen points (70-53).
In the last ten minutes, Nou Congost gave everything and pushed their team, who, despite being down 0-7, were very solid. Led by a very fit Dani Pérez, the locals delighted their fans with a luxury victory against a great rival.
