BAXI Manresa ends up knocking out a struggling Granada

BAXI Manresa remains undefeated at the Nou Congost and added a hard-fought victory against a very combative Coviran Granada that made them suffer until the last seconds (93-86).
The start of the match was very even, with both teams constantly exchanging the lead. The Andalusians kept up with the home team thanks to their offensive rebounds and their success from three-point range (scoring 6 out of 9 attempts). Bamforth put his team ahead at the end of the first quarter (25-27).
In the second quarter, the visitors continued to play from long distance, which made Ocampo stop the game (29-34). Immediately after, the team from Manresa reacted, turned the score around and obtained a maximum lead of eight points (49-41). At half-time, the Bages team had a five-point lead (51-46).
Coming back from the changing rooms, the home team scored six consecutive points and placed themselves twelve points ahead (60-48). Then, the team from Manresa dominated with relatively comfortable distances, but the Andalusians cut back at the end of the third quarter (73-66).
In the last ten minutes, Diego Ocampo's team was still unable to break the game, as Granada never stopped fighting and put fear into Nou Congost in the final minute (89-86). However, the Bages team controlled the situation and sealed the win from the free throw.
On Tuesday from 20:00, BAXI Manresa will visit the court of German team NINERS Chemnitz in the fourth round of the initial phase of the Basketball Champions League.
