BAXI Manresa falls to a more effective MoraBanc Andorra

BAXI Manresa could not add another victory, as it fell to Nou Congost against MoraBanc Andorra (90-97). After a certainly leveled first half, the Bagencs had a bad third quarter and, despite fighting until the last second, they could not recover in the final stretch.

The first quarter was fast-paced: the attacks prevailed over the defenses and the two teams alternated the lead on the scoreboard. The visitors started the match with five points in a row, but the Reds, led by Badio, did not take long to react and closed the half ahead (30-28).

In the second period, Pedro Martínez's players came out ready to open a hole and achieved a partial 14-0 (40-28). However, some Andorrans led by ex-Manresa Jerrick Harding re-entered the game and reached the break only four points behind (53-49).

Returning from the changing rooms, Natxo Lezkano's men made a better start and quickly overturned the electronic score (53-54). Then, the Manresans tried to react, but they couldn't find success, and the opponent knew how to take advantage of this to escape at the end of the third quarter (62-73).

In the last ten minutes, the visitors were more in tune than the Bages team, and this allowed them to maintain a comfortable lead and not suffer at any time for the victory. For their part, the reds didn't stop fighting until the end and cut the gap to the final 90-97.

On Sunday from 17:00, BAXI Manresa will play again at Nou Congost, this time in the visit of Valencia Basket, a team that this year played in the Euroleague.
