
BAXI Manresa conquers Badalona again

BAXI Manresa earned its fifteenth win of the season in the Endesa League after winning on the difficult court of Joventut Badalona, in a match they dominated from the first quarter and had to finish off in the final minute (85-92).
The Green-Blacks had a great start and scored the first seven points of the match, but the Reds, very accurate from outside shooting, quickly recovered, and closed out the first quarter with a five-point lead (20-25).
In the second period, the visitors increased their lead and enjoyed a thirteen-point advantage (29-42). However, the Badalona team raised their level and closed the gap, trailing by just six points at halftime (37-43).
Coming out of the locker room, the Manresa team, led by Obasohan, got off to a great start. They quickly pulled away again on the scoreboard and took a twenty-point lead (41-61). The Bages team continued to clearly dominate and closed out the third quarter with the game in their favor (57-75).
In the final ten minutes, Diego Ocampo's players controlled the score until the final minutes, when a 19-2 run brought the home team within just three points (84-87) with 37 seconds left. Hunt sank a three-pointer to seal his team's victory.
On Saturday, starting at 6:00 PM, BAXI Manresa will host another Catalan team, Bàsquet Girona, at the Nou Congost.
