BAXI Manresa closed the first round of the Endesa League with a new victory, the tenth in the top national competition, which also qualifies them for the Copa del Rey in Gran Canaria. The Manresans dominated from the start in the Catalan derby against Joventut Badalona (87-72).

The players led by Diego Ocampo came out strong and immediately took control of the scoreboard. They managed to get a maximum difference of ten points (21-11), which the green and blacks cut to six at the end of the first quarter (24-18).

In the second, the reds again made a great start, in which they scored eight consecutive points (32-18). The locals continued to command the scoreboard comfortably and did not let the Badalona team get close. At half-time, eighteen points of advantage for the Manresans (45-27).

Coming back from the locker room, the tone was not very different. The Bages team maintained a significant lead throughout and closed the third quarter with the game well underway (63-47).

In the last ten minutes, the Reds did not let up, kept their rival at bay and made the fans who filled the Nou Congost enjoy it to the full. In this way, they were able to reach the final moments with victory and qualification for the Copa del Rey in the bag.

On Saturday from 18:00, BAXI Manresa will start the second round of the Endesa League on the difficult court of Valencia Basket of Pedro Martínez, Brancou Badio and Amida Brimah.
