
BAXI Manresa returns to victory against Casademont Zaragoza

BAXI Manresa returned to winning ways in the Endesa League and did so at the Nou Congost against Casademont Zaragoza in a match they dominated from the middle of the third quarter (95-83).
The Aragonese team got off to a better start and scored the first seven points of the game, but the Reds reacted and quickly tied the score. From then on, the visitors dominated slightly until the final minute of the first quarter, when the home team took a four-point lead (24-20).
In the second quarter, Bages' team made a good start and extended the lead to six points (29-23). However, Porfirio Fisac's players leveled the score again. The scoreboard then continued to swing until the end, when a Hunt three-pointer gave Diego Ocampo's men a three-point lead at halftime (51-48).
After the break, the game was tied again until the middle of the third quarter, when the Manresa team, led by Alston Jr. and Hunt, achieved a maximum lead of ten points (67-57), which Zaragoza cut to eight at the end of the third quarter (72-64).
In the final ten minutes, the visitors didn't give up and closed to within three points (79-76), but the Reds didn't let up and escaped again. They managed to reach the final possessions with the win in hand and gave the fans a great time.
On Sunday, starting at 12:30 PM, BAXI Manresa will play another Catalan derby on the difficult Joventut Badalona court.
