A proud BAXI Manresa ends up losing to Unicaja

BAXI Manresa was unable to add another victory in its return to the Endesa League, as despite playing a great game they ended up losing on the court of the Cup champion, Unicaja (105-97).
The players directed by Diego Ocampo made a great start and took control in all aspects of the game. This allowed them to obtain a maximum difference of twelve points (13-25). However, the Malaga team reacted and came within seven points at the end of the first quarter (20-27).
In the second quarter the locals nailed a partial of 12-0 and turned the score around. This did not distract the team from Manresa, who regained control of the scoreboard thanks to their defensive activity and counterattacks. At half-time, the Bages team was seven points ahead (49-56).
Coming back from the locker room, the game was very even. The Andalusians tried to come back, but they faced a rival who knew how to find an answer to each of their attacks. The third quarter ended with a four-point lead for the visitors and everything to decide (74-78).
In the last ten minutes Unicaja came out determined to get ahead, and they managed to do so halfway through the period (85-84). From then on, the Malaga team was more successful and reached the end with the victory in the bag against the Manresa team who fought until the end.
On Wednesday from 20:00, BAXI Manresa will return to the Basketball Champions League on the court of the Italian Pallacanestro Reggiana.
