Note in relation to the remodelation project of Nou Congost
El Bàsquet Manresa wishes to express its gratitude to the Manresa City Council for its commitment to our entity.
Since the inauguration of the Pavelló Nou Congost on September 11, 1992, it has not been finalized that a project has been launched for the expansion and modernization of the pavelló, which we consider essential for the future of the club.
As has been reiterated on numerous occasions by the club, long-term sustainability and continued participation in the ACB depend, to a large extent, on having a pavilion that complies with the technical needs, The information and commercial requirements required by the regulations and current dynamics of professional and elite basketball.
From Bàsquet Manresa we understand that the ideal solution for the entity and for the city would be the construction of a new sports infrastructure that allows, in addition to the previous one, to expand the services adreçats to the basketball base, increase the 'offer sports spaces to the city and region, provide modern commercial and scenic uses and facilitate the transfer of activities between pavilions without affecting the calendar and competition of the ACB League. However, the New Congost is a municipally owned infrastructure and a project with the construction of a new pavilion, of this magnitude, due to the difficulties inherent in the search for additional financing from other administrations to its own contribution. 'Ajuntament.
The club reiterates its commitment and desire to be able to collaborate closely with the technical services involved in the project to guarantee that the New Congost is equipped with equipment that completes the basic needs of a high-level infrastructure required by a state basketball club de l'èlit.
The comprehensive restructuring of the pavello is essential to ensure the continuity of the club to the ACB and to favor its sporting, social and economic growth. In this sense, consider that the Manresa City Council shares these objectives and is aligned with the needs of the club.
